A ONE OF A KIND INPUT, that maximizes the plant's growth potential.
What is FertiZONE and what does it do for growers like you?
FertiZONE is a granular complex of chelated multi-minerals, certified organic fertilizers, organic acids, plant extracts, finely ground minerals, vitamins, hormones, and beneficial microbial inoculants. The ingredients other than the beneficial microbial inoculants are designed to promote the growth of microbes in the root zone. These ingredients provide nutrients, hormones, and vitamins to the microbial inoculants enhancing their growth and ability to work with the plant.
FertiZONE’s microbial inoculants include four mycorrhizae fungi, plus four beneficial bacteria, and one other beneficial fungus. Mycorrhizae are important to plants as they form a symbiotic relationship with the plant. In a healthy soil, mycorrhizae extend the effective root zone of the plant dramatically. Mycorrhizae will “mine” minerals, nutrients, and water for the plant. The size of mycorrhizae’s filaments are so small they can go into portions of the soil that roots cannot penetrate. The other microbial inoculants in FertiZONE were chosen to maximize root health, root volume, plant nutrient cycling, and disease resistance. These microbes provide plant ready nutrients, plant growth factors, plant growth regulator precursors, and help protect the plant from nematode damage.
Studies have shown that the effective root volume is increased by more than 80% in situations that have a healthy community of microbes that includes a mycorrhizal relationship. Unfortunately, modern agricultural practices have diminished the populations of these beneficial microbes in commercially farmed soils. Over use of fungicides, pesticides, and fertilizer have taken their toll. By re-establishing a balanced microbial population in the root zone, we can reduce plant stress, reduce fertilizer use, and reduce water use stress. In most cases, we recommend at least a 25% reduction in fertilizer use and expect to be able to grow crops with 20 to 25% less water.
What are the benefits of using FertiZONE?
-
More rapid germination of seeded crops
-
Less stress damage in transplanted crops
-
Increased root volume which increases nutrient transfer and reduces stress
-
Reduced fertilizer cost
-
Easier water stress management
-
Less root disease and nematode damage
-
Increased bio mass and generally healthier plants
-
Increased yields
-
Better fruit Quality
The completeness and complexity of this product allows it to be used in ANY type of soil or climate, and will provide measurable plant benefits.
RESULTS
WISEarth Organics Fertizone is applied with standard farm equipment directly to the seed line. Fertizone can:
-
Increase root ball size by up to 25%
-
Increase / improve seed germination
-
Improve poor soils
-
Reduce the plant water requirement by up to 25%
-
Grow stronger plants that resist disease
-
Lower the soil rhizosphere pH, which results in the selective plant uptake of NH4+ and release of H+ ions, increases the flow of nitrogen to the plant and uptake of phosphorous
-
Reduce deadpan
-
Reduce plant stress
WISEarth Organics Fertizone has:
Increased plant yield in Peanuts by 73%
Increased plant yield in Tomatoes by 34%
Increased plant yield in Sugarcane by 14.6% and the overall brix content by 17.7%
WHAT MAKES Fertizone SO UNIQUE?
Mycorrhizae.
FertiZONE contains endomycorrhizas (VAM) fungi spores. Mycorrhizal plants are more resistant to many diseases, such as those caused by microbial soil-borne pathogens, and are also more resistant to the effects of drought. These effects are perhaps due to the improved water and mineral uptake in mycorrhizal inoculated plants as a direct result of the symbiotic association between the fungi and the plants roots.
Microbes.
FertiZONE contains carefully selected beneficial microbial inoculants. Microbes improve the speed of seed germination, increases foliage, encourages deep root growth, reduces the plants water requirement, reduces hard pan / soil compaction, while improving the soil’s organic matter.
Organic Acids.
Organic Acids provide specific benefits to plants – it aids in the prevention of mineral update, partially when combined with compost, a staple in organic farming. Organic Acids are also linked with the stimulating of microbial activity, thus speeding the ionic interaction between the soil and the plant, allowing for a more rapid uptake of essential nutrients a plant needs for growth and production.
May be used in both Organic or non-organic farming.
